Zip disk question

Hey,I've really been at this for sometime now.Been trying everything.
I'm trying to save sounds/sequences to the zip and the load them back up.
I think I'm saving them onto zip o.k
I save a sequence then save a program and sounds
I'm able to see the sounds I saved in the folders so they are getting to zip.
However when it comes to reloading them to play them there is no sound.
When I save I am saving ' with sounds'
Does anyone know what this can be?

hey when you're loading your sequence and sounds , do you have an error message or everything is good except you don't hear nothing?
try to" load all seq and songs " then "load allpgs "
ok tell me more but it seems that is not a scsi connection problem that's a good point !!!!!

This is everything I'm doing.
Maybe it'll help to see what I'm missing.

SAVING:

I put in a sequence
change the device to atapi

save a program & sounds
hit do it when it says save with sounds I save with sounds

then I go to save a sequence
hit do it
go to midi type 1
press save
wait till it does its thing

then after a bit
I turn off the akai and take out the disk
to test to see if it's there


LOADING:

I hit shift and load
change device back to atapi
open the window and I can see what I saved is there
but it never plays back with sound.

Is there maybe something I'm forgetting?

oh yeah no error message,just no sound at all.

when you load the sounds do you see them in the trim screen??? do you name your sound programs?? check your program after you load it in the drum screen before going into params, sometimes your sounds get lost in there and you think they were never loaded, it use to happen to me alot.

When youv'e loaded the pgms and seq have you doulblechecked that the pgms are assigned to the correct drums eg drum1 drum2 etc for the tracks in the seq !!
Does that make any sence if not i'll expalin better

I just noticed this when going back to load all the endless things I tried to save today,when I open it (pressing shift + load-> selecting -> and pressing play)it only seems to play wth no sound for like 2 bar numbers
This can't be bringing up the saved tracks at all since they were all longer then 2 numbers.
What I named it does show up on the screen though.
What up with this?

I have not used the drum screens or program screen for much of anything
(I'm new to this,sure you couldn't have guessed or nothing )

Am I supposed to be assigning programs? While saving and loading
What should I be doing with the drum screen? While saving and loading
What is the S:Drum1,2,3,4,off etc... on the main screen about?
