should i buy the mpc 2000xl?

im in the process of looking for the right price . but im seeing posts about the 2000xl being "discontinued"... wth does that mean?


is it any good the 2000xl ie...

Discontinued means their not making a product anymore. They stopped making 2kxls when the 2500 got released. We cant tell you what MPC to buy we can only help u learn how to use it. Go to the store and try them out. Their all good its just realy your preference of how they feel. Their not too different but they do have some differences. Personally I like the 2000xl the best but thats just my opinion go to the store and try before you blow your money

You can still purchase the 2000xl. Some online music companies even throw in free headphones and a carrying case.

of course i do you dingbat... i had the mpc 1k for a while.... but i got strapped for cash so i sold it.. but i dont want that anymore.. so i was looking into the 2xl... i like the independent factor of it as far as not necessarily being connected with computer(if you dont want to)..

in your original post, you didnt say anything about a 1000. If you really want advice, the 1000 is going to have the same amount, if not, more options than the 2000xl.

2000xl's are not being discontinued.

Nowadays I would buy a 1k instead of the 2kxl, still love my 2kxl though.

1k tha pads dont feel right to me, i could get by on them though Im just used to the 2k pads. THe 1k is gonna be crazy when tha new OS drops. Exspecially since after I chop I like spinning some pieces in reverse which is not in the old os. If their was a way to put 2kxl pads into a 1k I would cop one after the new os drops.
