Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

I have the Iomega zip drive (Z100P2) . And If i hook up the SCSI before i turn the computer on, it stays in the detecting Memory state .... If I take the cable of the MPC loads fine. After doin SHIFT 3, and trying to get my MPC to talk to my ZIP, it stays in wait. It doesnt matter which SCSI ID I try to put it on, it just says wait. Its like there is no handshake between the two. On the back of my Iomega Zip there is no place where i can change and ID #, no Terminate switch nothing. Just a printer port and a Zip port, or even on the inside there is nothing. Im hearing about the SCSI fuse being blown, but how do i check that. And can that be the only problem??...thanx

It sounds like you could possibly be using a parallell drive.Check the Bay and see if you can find a scsi zip.Just make sure it has the i.d. and termination switches.
