MCD kit conection

hi I have a gray mpc 2000xl and I installed a mcd kit in it and it will work fine for a while and then stop all of a sudden. I open the mpc up and tighten the IDE and power connection and it works again. but then it losens again and i have to do it all over again. I've tried using tape on the connections but that doesnt help. Can anyone give me some tips. mabye some troubleshooting.

What are you doing to make the connection come loose that often, making beats on a freight train in the middle on the grand canyon while riding out a 9.7 earthquake...?
