Modding the LCD screen...is it possible?

I'm planning to get my mpc2k customized real soon and I just wanted to know if its possible to change the color of the lcd...I remember someone mentioning details of the replacement of the screen, but then if thats the case, it should be easy to change the screen color or something.....I plan on getting my mpc metallic black with red markings and a black screen with red graphics........any input is appreciated, thanks...

Try the forad service, that's the only place I've seen GOOD mods.

all u gotta do is change the backlight to make the screen a diff. color.

mane, i forgot all about this topic...I spoke to one of the akai tech guys and he said tht only the background can be changed but the text is the way it is by default though...
