MPC 2000XL and Internal Zip Drive

I recently saved a series of sequences (79-82) in my mpc. I then wanted to compile the sequences into a song (shft +1) SONG window. However, my songs were all used, so I decided to delete the songs under Song 1 and replace them with sequences (79-82). I then saved everything.

The problem comes in when I attempt to load the program from my internal zip using ATAPI. The program displays every other sequence prior to 79-82 and when I go to song it displays the sequences that I previously deleted. I dont understand b/c 1 time I searched thru all of my songs to see if maybe I saved it some place by mistake. However, when I scrolled back to song 1, sequences 79-82 appeared. I dont understand. Please help?

Also, it happened today, I powered my mpc off for a while and rebooted, I was then able to access sequences 79-82 under the Song menu.

It seems strange to me to be saving all that work (20 songs!) under one ALL file. Why not save different projects under different APS and ALL files with different names?

That way you can avoid deleting work to make room for more.

song files and sequence files are separate.....you erased the sequences so when the song went to play them nothing was there.....when your makin songs never delete the sequences......

Oooooh, I get it. So, the sequences appear under the song menu but the delete removes the sequence from the song menu as well as the Main screen sequence. Got it :D

Also, the reason why I saved all of my sequences under on file name is for efficiency. I may be working on a track and suddenly an entirely different pattern will play in my head. Knowing that I use 3 to 5 sequences a song, I usually scroll down about 5 and keep working. Fellas, thanks for the advice :)
