o.k. i have pro tools m-powered with an delta 192 sound card. i have midid cables and every thing. i can not get my mpc 2000xl to sync up with the pro tools. i read the midi section in the mpc. mannual and still dont understand. pro tools manual sucks. still ineed help. i tryed setting every thing up in pro tools to identify with my mpc 2000xl, but it still doesnt work smoothy. i did the shift+9/midi thing on the mpc and still i stumped.i cant record midi to protools from my mp.
basically i can play the piano, but i can do the drum line on the mpc, pretty good. what im trying to accomplish is this: i want do my drums on the mpc. i want to have a visual and some sort of control of the sounds/midi by seeing what i did on my mpc, on pro tools. but i cant get the pro tools to record or recognise midi from my mpc. i would also like to play piano keys on the computer and add them to the track. or alter piano keys in the mpc via midi with pro tools. its easier to alter midi in the mpc when u have a visual on pro tools to alter it. but i cant get the midi to go from my mpc to pro tools. i new to this but i learn quic.
can some one give a step by step on how to hook up midi from a mpc 2000xl to pro toools m-powered, or a link or something or any type of help. please! i can be e-mailed at :[email protected]. reply to me or e-mail me im desperate, for a to. i know midi is hard to understand but i also no its worth it once i get it. please help me
