Transfering midi data from sequencer to multi track recorder

Hi,

CAN SOMEONE PLEEEEEAASE HELP ME?!?!?!?!? I searched the forum, read the tutorial on using midi and it DOES NOT EXPLAIN THIS FUNCTION!!! Sorry for shouting, really frustrated here. I don't have degree in recording arts si I can't figure out the midi functions on my MPC2000XL. I want to transfer a song I made on my MPC to my Korg d1200 mutiltrack recorder. I don't want to do anything to my MPC tracks, the songs is done. I just want to record some live tracks onto my song using my Korg multitrack. Could someone explain this to me in plain english. I need someone that knows how to use the Korg d1200. Thanks very much... I want to finish these damn songs!

midi is primarily used for midi. Audio cables are used for audio.

Don't let the names confuse you. What exactly do you learn with a degree in recording arts? Seriously.

All you do is connect the Left/Right Audio outs of the MPC into 2 tracks of the digital recorder. Then run a midi cable from the out of the recorder to one of the midi ins on the MPC. then set the recorder and MPC to sync up via midi (set the MPC to "Midi Time Code - frame rate of 30" and also set the recorder to that same frame rate and time code). Then set the metronome in the digital recorder to the same tempo as the MPC....Now go into the "song" screen on the MPC, then when you press play on your digital recorder your MPC song will start playing....since both devices are synced up via midi, whereever your digital recorder is (bar wise) thats were it will start playing the MPC song.

I've never used the recorder you got (i use a roland 1680), but this is the basic setup for any recorder to MPC Midi setup.
