MPC 2000XL vs 4000

What's up, I've had my 2000XL for like 2 years and some change and I am pretty good with it. I have just been using it for home usage though. I'm gonna be building a new studio in the near future and was wondering what can the 4000 bring to the table? I also wanted to know if you had any advice on a Trition vs a Motif.

Well since there is about 30 threads on the 2000xl vs. 4000 debate, I'll throw one in on the Triton vs. Motif.

Triton is a little bit more. But it has a touchscreen which I think is great, and also a better interface in general which makes it easier to use.

I think the Motif has better orchestral and real sounds. You can get a EXB-06/07 orchestal board for that though on the Triton if it's your bag. The sequencer on the Triton is much more intuitive to me than the Motif but I guess you'll still be using the MPC sequencer anyway. If you do go with the Motif than wait till October when they plan to start shipping the Motif ES which has some very excellent upgrades to the regular Motif. It does not however have an internal HD which the Triton does. So when it's all said and done, they are both very capable synths. I myself have a Triton Studio 88 with a Motif rack because I do like some of the Motif sounds. Can't go wrong. PEACE

Well, that's what someone else told me. They said to get a triton but use a motif sound module with it. I think that is what I am going to do. The MPC2000XL is gonna be my toy until I build my other studio. Good looking and if I have anymore wuestions than I won't hesitate to hit you up.
