I picked up an S2000 at a local pawn shop for $60...i powered it up at the store and the screen displayed insert system disk...i thought this would be no problem so i purchased it...but now im having problems getting it to load..ive downloaded the OS i got an error from dos mode so i tried downloading it from this site: (http://www.geocities.com/samplestation/ ... stems.html)

it came with an os loader whiched worked fine and it seemed to get the os on to a floppy..but still no luck the s2000 will not boot up with it..if anyone has any knowledge on how to get this to but up id appreciate it....

i hope this is in the right forum....

Nevermind found a solution..incase anyone searches for this in the future heres what worked for me....

Try this

you need a PC with Windows 9x or even DOS to run this software. If you
can't find one you can use a bootdisk with win98 system files on it and
then pop in the disk with OSMAKER and the s2000 OS image linked below:

http://akaiscsifaq.digidude.net/stuff/OSMAKER.ZIP

http://akaiscsifaq.digidude.net/stuff/A ... S2KV20.zip

Download both. Then copy and extract them in a folder or floppy so
you can use them on a windows 9x or DOS PC (maybe a laptop you have or
someone has or simply make a win98 bootdisk from www.bootdisk.com). Run
OSMAKER from the native DOS prompt (don't run it under a shell, press F8
when booting windows 98 and enter DOS prompt if running on a PC with
win98) and follow the instructions. Use a new blank formatted floppy,
don't use floppies with files that have been deleted - for safety you
can reformat the floppy (long format not quick format) onto which you
will put the AKAI image.
