I go to save an APS file on my external hard drive and it says that the destination is full, but on the SAVE screen, it says theres 502 MB remaining. Can anyone help?

Are you using the 2kxl or the classic ? I was told by akai that the 2k classic can only have a limited number of files per harddisk partition no matter how much space is left in the partition.

AFAIK the number of files per partition is limited for the mpc2k classic. So when you format your harddisk it is better to create more partitions that are each samller in size than to create only 2 big parttions that will only be able to contain x number of files no matter how big the partitions are and how much free space is left.
