2000 classic zip disk question

When putting programs on zip disk from pc to use in a 2000 classic, i cant load them when i dont format the zip disk in the mpc. but when i format on the mpc and put into my pc, windows says the disk is not formatted. Anyone go through this? If it helps im running windows xp pro and the zip disk are 100mb.

I tried everything but figured out what works best is to format on the p.c. using FAT.I think you can also use FAT16 but FAT works for me with no problem.I'm also using the Classic,with Xp,100mb zips and o.s.1.72.

I did exactly what you just said and now windows can't format the disk. This disk however was formatted in the mpc already. I will try a new disk and post my results when i attempt to load this files into the mpc.
