I dunno if this ? has been answered before or in one of the lessons or whatever, but when I load up say, the ambiant set 1, the open hi hat will stop if I hit the closed hi hat. When I make my own programs with sampled hi hats, I can't get the open one to cut short, the just play together. Any help on this would be great, cuz I hate myself right now for saving a beat in the wrong folder and accidently erasing one of my best beats (and program) and I'm trying to re-create the beat and I'm just not thinking straight so my brain can't tell me how I'm supposed to do what i want with the program.

Any help here would be MUCH MUCH MUCH MUCH appreciated. Thanks.

Aight, I calmed myself down a lil, and my mind is again working, so I figured out what I wanted to know.

In case anyone else evr had/has this hi ht ?, all you have to do is go to params, then note off/poly/mono and hit open window. Then you select the pad/s that you want the original pad to cut off.

Aight, then...

That whole note mute function on the mpc is really limiting.
It's a shame it doesn't have a mute group like the S-series.

I was about to give M.P.C. that same asnswer but you figured it out before I could answer. Cool, yeah, I've been doing that same thing for the longest time. It works very well. Like DECAL was saying it is very limiting.. I hate it, I love it, I hate it, I love it.
