Stereo/Mono

i know this is probably dumb simple question but i've been sampling everything in mono and ive realized that im losing some parts of the samples...i ve been sampling in mono becuase thats the only way i hear anything play thorugh my mpc...i'm using a single wire from my record inputs...how can i set up wires so that i can record in stereo..thanks

Your source in your case being the record player needs two outputs, plug those into the inputs on the mpc...simple as that.

im not with my mpc right now but you mean the rca wires from my tables can go into the left and right inputs on my MPC?

NO. You need to amplify your turntable through a mixer.
Hook your turntable up to the inputs of a dj mixer. The outputs of the mixer go to the back of the MPC witha RCA cabe and 2 RCA to 1/4 inch headphone jacks.
*Make sure you connect your grounding wire of your turntable to the mixer before your record.

i think i get it, so the wire i need is has 2 rca's on one side and on the other side 2 1/4" plugs?

you can buy adapters at any Riddadio Shiddack mane. thier pretty easy to come up on...I had that same dillema when I first copped my mpc.
