Ok, I tried to install it today but I'm short two screws and the board is too short to rest on the vertical pole things (circled), is this common? Also I cannot plug the ribbon into the socket, should I cut the tie (arrow pointing to it)? Pics are below to explain.

Looks like the wrong 8-outs. Is that red paint on the edge? Looks like someone cut the side of it off to fit.

I looks like a hacked S2000 8-out to me. Demand a full refund.

Yeah it got to be the wrong outs because the tail end of the outs board is supposed to screw into those two verticle beams you have circled. That ribbon gets inserted into the the left socket next to the floppy drive. Lemme upload a pic of mines hold up.

THE CONNECTOR TO THE 8 OUTS SHOULD PLUG INTO THE LEFT SOCKET BY WHERE THE FLOPPY IS

SCREW THE BOARD DOWN TO THE TWO VERTICLE BEAMS NEXT TO THE ARROWS. WHEN YOU PLUG IN THE BOARD TO THE SOCKET U MIGHT NEED TO SLIP IT UNDER ALL THE OTHER CABLES AS I CIRCLED.

Sorry, couldn't log in with my account so I made a new one, I emailed the person about it asking for a refund, I bought it off ebay so we'll see how it goes. Thanks for the help mpc3000 and Jacpot.

Wow sorry to bring this post back but I think I just found myself in a similar position......Yup sure is a s2000 8 outs board....

I thought these still worked though? With the card installed, I put it in and plugged the ribbon cable, but now my MPC gets frozen on the "Detecting Memory" screen on startup. Still works fine without the 8 outs.

Am I doing something wrong, or is the s2000 board just not working?

Dawg, just go get the real 8 outs for the MPC. The s2000 board will no cut it.
