Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

i had no luck figurering out how to play notes back live while the sample and drum is playing. I'm like one or two steps from getting it. i've got the keyboard connected, i hear notes when i touch the keys, getting playback with a sample while i play the bassline manually or live AT THE SAME TIME is the issue. i've talked to several people, step by step i have went through how to do it. what i am thinking is it's my midi keyboard. i have a M_AUDIO radium 49 keyboard. the thing is that my midi cables have an in and out which means there TWO plugs for input and output of both devices. well my midi keyboard has only ONE output for the keyboard. the mpc 2000xl has TWO! i'm thinking i need a midi keyboard with TWO midi outs. i also bought a dvd tutorial and the instructor was using a M_AUDIO OZONE with the TWO outputs and had no problem playing his live notes back while the drum and the sample was playing together. Do you think i need a new keyboard?

If you don't think i need a new keyboard could anyone tell me how to get the notes you playback live from your midi keyboard to play with the sample and the drum simutaneously?

i'm using like bass and piano samples and spreading them out on the keyboard so i can live play them simutaneously with the already playing sample and brum beat loop.

Ok so that means that your sample and drums are on 1 program and your bassline must be on another program since you said you "Spread it across the keys" Well spreading it across the keys is called AUTO CHROMATIC ASSIGNMENT. When u use auto chrom it creates a new program. So when your beat is playing through the mpc its playing only program 1. If you want to hear the auto chrom, since its a different program u need a program change.

You can figure it out from thier.
