Mpc Zip Question

I just got a omega 100 zip drive I got all the wires and everthing to run to the mpc.I was testing to see if I could save anything and when I pushed do it, it didn t do nothing.its reading the zip on scsi 3 I got it set to 5 dough.Anyways then I went to format and there it gave all the info about the zip drive so I guess its there. then I press format to format the disk and it gave me a error message.So I dont maybe its the disk or something but their brand new.The disk I have, a little mac logo but I dont think thats a problem right.Any help would be great.OnE -Los-

1 are you rockin a 2k or a 2kxl? i'm on a 2kxl

2 is your drive internal or external? i'm guessing its internal cuz them 100 mb scsi's are hella hard to come by...

3 if its internal, have you tried setting it to ATAPI in the save or setup screen?

4 whenever you try to format a disc, does it say no scsi device on the popup scriddeen?

i got 2kxl but I got and external their not thathard to cop though, you can get it on ebay .And I got the cable from these one site for 16 dollars that was mad cheap brand new in the package, there like 40 at comp usa.When I try to format it it just gives me a error message, I think its because its a mac zip disk I am go return it and see if pc format works.But hit me back man Iam return it and see wassup, I LL get back at you... You know telling us what the error message was will go a reaallllly loooooonnnnnnnnnnnng way.

when I try to format it it says error 0000:CFAD...Also when I first turn the mpc on and I go to load page under type it has a ? mark when I have the disk in there .When I go to format it only tells me I have a omega zip drive on ID 4 and I have set to 5....

Is the zip drive the only device in the SCSI chain? If so make sure the "terM" switch is set to on. That may be your prob (I hope)
