iv had my mpc for a bit now and i want to start sample from vinyle im getting a turntable 2morrow jus wanted to know do i need a turntable mixer also what leads do i need iv been told dual quarter inch to rca, pls help me out
my set up: mpc2000xl, planet phatt(sound module), oxgen 8 midi (aint got the lead so i have to plug in the usb to my laptop to use it) and scsi zip drive, might get the korg extreme in 4 months time

You need a Phono-Preamp.
This could be your Stereo, DJ-Mixer, Mixer whit Phono-preamp ( Soundcraft made some) or only an Phonopreamp ( Hama or so..)

whats a phono preamp and what cheap mixer comes with it if posible give me a few names or links or on ebay im in london uk i was thinking of gettin a numark tt 1650 and a numark dm950 mixer and some leads could someone also tell me what leads i need

Check the manual to see what LEADS the mpc uses in the back panel. Help yourself.
