I'm trying to put a IDE laptop hard drive w/ SCSI bridge in my MPC along with my card reader. The problem is I need 12 volts along with the 5 volt power connector to power it up. I already spliced another connector from the card reader's power. My Radio Shack multimeter cr@pped out on me so I was wondering if anyone knew of the 12 volts to tap in from the ckt board. Pics would always help too. Cheers.

I'll post pics later when I get home...

Just use a 10 USD multimeter to probe for the 12V.

You really should be using a multimeter anyway when you do this type of work. How would you know which is +5V and GND for the existing work? Blindly connecting is a good way to fry something.

Oh yes... I know this. I was hoping someone would know so when I get another multimeter I don't have to do a bunch of voltage checks to find it. Thanks MPC3000!
