i have sequences songs and sounds on a zip disk and i want to transfer them to smartmeida card is there a way to do this without buying an external zip for the mpc2000xl?

Yup, buy a CF reader and Zip drive for your PC. You can cop a USB -Powered zip for like $10 on eBay, not sure about the CF reader tho...
