i need help midi-syncing mpc200xl to cool edit pro 2

previously ive had no problems master/slaving my mpc to an akai dps12. i recently installed one of those usb midisport 2x2 usb interfaces and designated it appropriately for ins and outs within cool edit.

how do i get this to snyc up cool edit to the mpc? all of the cool edit help talks about smpte but i want to be using time code, correct? augghh help!

within coolEdit MTC is converted to SMPTE, since they are virtually the same thing.

i did use search w/ multiple titles and the thread didnt come up. i figured it would be one here somewhere but oddly enough the phrases 'midi' 'sync' and mpc lead to alot of threads... sorry u had to die on the cross just because u typed in a link w/ yr fingers... thanks **** mr. bitter librarian.
