MPC 2000 & RS-5 HELP

I HAVE A MPC 2000 HOOKED UP MIDI TO A ROLAND RS-5 KEYBOARD, ALSO USING A BEHRINGER MIXER. I'VE MADE BEATS USING THE MPC W/ THE RS-5 & SAVED THEM ONTO DISKS W/ NO PROBLEM. BUT WHEN I LOAD UP THE FILES THE SOUNDS FRON THE MPC STAY THE SAME BUT THE SOUNDS FROM THE KEYBOARD PLAY ENTIRELY DIFFERENT SOUNDS THAN ORIGINALLY SAVED. MY QUESTION IS DO I NEED TO CHANGE THE SETTINGS ON THE MPC OR KEYBOARD TO KEEP THE ORIGINAL SOUND RECORDED? OR IS THERE SOMETHING I CAN GET TO STRAIGHTEN THIS OUT? BECAUSE I HAVENT CHANGED ANYTHING ON EITHER ONE YET. UP TILL NOW I MADE OVER 3 DOZEN BEATS JUST USING THE MPC & ITS SAMPLES. I KNOW IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE MIXER. YOUR HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED.

you need to save the patch number in the mpc. it is on the main screen and is label pgm to the right side. but remember that pgm 1 on the mpc is really patch 0 on the keyboard, or maybe vice versa, but they are one off. i think this is what you are asking. if you do this it should recall what sound you are using in the roland.

SO UR SAYIN I NEED TO CHANGE THE PATCH #'S ON THE MPC & KEYBOARD OR ONE OR THE OTHER?

in the mpc. they will then change the roland when you press play.

I THINK WHAT UR SAYIN IS TO MATCH THE MIDI # & PGM # TO THE PROGRAM ON THE KEYBOARD. FOR EXAMPLE MIDI 1A PGM 03 = BRIGHT PIANO ON THE RS-5. BUT WHEN I TRY TO CHANGE THE MIDI # ( FOR EXAMPLE MIDI 4A ) THE PGM ON THE KEYBOARD # CHANGES BACK TO O1. SO I GUESS EACH PGM ON THE KEYNOARD BEGINS WITH 01 EVEN THOUGH THERE ARE OVER 600 SOUNDS ON THE RS-5. DOES ANYBODY UNDERSTAND THIS?

usually you have a patch list which consists of 128 sounds. that is the coresponding # i am talking about. so sometimes you might have to change the bank in the rs5 to get the patch you want, but it should recall the number if you prrogram in the mpc.
