akai mpc 2000 zip drive problem

i press shift+ disc go to the device , use the wheel: floppy , f- rom and then "wait..." appeares. this also happens even if the zip drive is not connected to the mpc 2000. the zip drive is ok i tried it at my computer.

how can i use the zip drive at my mpc? what about using floppy? how and what do i have to save when i finished working at my mpc and want that data for the next time...how many floppy discs do i need i tried before but i never new what had to be saved.

You have to save your .pgm file and your .all file.
The number of floppys you need depends on how larg your samples are...

i read the f'd up manual it did not help me
