is there something wrong with my 8 outs..

I have just installed the 8 outs in my mpc2kxl
and it's connected to my mixer, the problem is when I want to have for
example a mono snare trough output 1, there's no sound until I
assign it to output 2 in the mixer, and it's the same on all outputs
no sound from output 3 until the sound assigned output 4. it's very confusing,am I doing something wrong or what? please help!!!

Your card is working fine. You are trying to output a stereo sample on a SINGLE mono output line. U can't do that. You have to use 2 LINES for a stereo sample. U can assign any mono sample to any output and u will hear it fine, but stereo samples require 2 OUTPUT lines - for LEFT and RIGHT. How's that. Let me know w'sup.

but I only used mono sounds, they were in stereo originally
and I converted them in Wavelab 4.0.. maybe it will work if I convert them in the mpc
I will try a stereo sound and if that does'nt work something must
be wrong

I will ask more of my friends about the 8out cause I don't have it, I have used it at their cribs many time before.
