Have a Triton Studio. Thinking of buying and MPC 2000XL to go along with it. Have you had many problems with this set up those of you that are using it? If you don't suggest the MPC 2000XL which MPC would you recommend for sequencing?

I havent had any problems with MPC2000XL and triton studio. actually is a great set up.. just started last year and love it. i'd get the xl with the card reader.. but maybe u want the 2500 i dont know. they all work fine with it though..many peeps use that set up .. depends on what features in the mpc u need or dont need.. i like the newer XL-MCD for the card reader so i can transfer files easily between pc and flashcard and store the sequence, songs and prgms easily.. i try to back up my card of songs and pgms etc to my PC as security.. a great system if u ask me.. also the XL will read .wav files where the older MPC wont. hope that helps.

The original 2000 reads wav files, too. But yeah, zillions of people use Tritons or MOTIFs or Fantoms or ASRs with MPCs. The MPC IS a MIDI sequencer, so I don't totally understand the question. Like Polite said, it all depends on what features you want in the MPC. For instance, if you need the four MIDI outs, then you HAVE to go 60/2500/3000/4000. If that doesn't matter, then you got the 1000/2000/2000XL-series. Then it's all the other stuff to consider. But if you JUST want sequencing and basic sampling, then any MPC will work.
