MPC Reverbs

I wana ask you guys how to match reverbs of different samples using the MPC2kxl internal effects. is there any tricks you guys use? i can never match my drum reverb with my sample. I want everything to sound like it was recorded in the same room. is there another website that can help me with reverb.

I don't understand the ?, "match"?

I think he means make em all sound like they're in the same space.

In which case, some samples may already have their own reverb on them, so you'll never "Match" them perfectly. I think it takes practice to know what reverb (or any effect) to put where.

Is that what you're getting at?

the 2kxl or any reverb unit, even the expensive ones will never sound the same as recording something in a room. you can get close, but it takes practice and a good set of ears!

Envelopes.

You have to cut off any natural reverb from your samples by using tight envelopes.

Then when you add reverb it'll all sound like its in the same soundstage.

the NaturalVerb in Wavelab might be of good use because you can choose what frequency to put reverb on and i guess that will help when trying to emulate the original verb + it's a very good tool to build a new tail on chopped hits too..
