I've been trying and trying.. but the mpc keeps saying scsi not ready.. and my cd rom drive turns on and everything but it doesn't sound like it's loading the disc. I can't hear it loading but the mpc keeps saying "scsi not ready" have any of you had this problem? Or is it my cd rom drive?

Can it be a problem with the CD itself (strangely which you told us absolutely nothing about), instead of the CDROM drive?

I've used these cds before on my sampler thru that cd rom drive. It's nothing different than I usually do. But I turned them both on and it just won't read anything on there. But yes, I have tried multiple cds and still "scsi not ready"

Still having trouble with this.. I'm not sure if I should buy another cd rom drive online or if any of you have encountered this problem, what did you do or try to do?

you might need a scsi terminator. scsi4samplers.com is where you can get it. does your cd rom drive have 2 scsi ports. if so you probably are just using one port which is fine BUT the other port needs to beterminated so it dosnt have an open loop

Yes it has 2 scsi ports. But the cdrom turns on but the disc doesn't sound like it's spinning. Think I should just go out and spend the $42.00 on a new scsi cd rom or get that scsi terminator?
