Scsi cd rom

Aint it better to get a Scsi cd-rom to the mpc for reading Sample-cd:s and computer wav??
Instead of internal zip-drive to the computer?
really whats the diffrent? doesnt cd-rom work as good as the zip with the Mpc?

yah, but how r u gonna save your programs and sequences on a cd rom? You need the zip for saving data You need the cdrom to load data from cd's

exactly. install an internal zip an get a scsi cd rom fo mad cheap. like $17 bucks is what i paid for one on ebay. the damn cable to connect to mpc cost more than the drive. what the f*ck?

I myself use an external zip drive as well as the factory disk drive for compatability. I bought the internal zip for the MPC but realistically that would be sacraficing the option of swapping sounds with fellow beatmakers and computer set ups. also 250mb beats out 100mb.Even better with the external zip drive pending on your circle of affiliates and/or studios you really don't have to lug around your MPC all the time. Just pack up your zip drive and zip disks. The only challange you may encounter is finding a 50 pin scsi connector. Best advice computer stores and probably even then go for an adapter rather than the cord istelf.
