Recording Delay??????

wattup fellow mpc'ers,
after hours of tryin to work out how to sync my xl with cubase i have now encountered another problem when i press play in cubase or when i record, sound only starts to come thru halfway thru bar 1. it starts playing as soon as i press play but no sound comes out till exactly halfaway into bar 1.....
anybody kno how i can fix this????

This has been covered a million times. Computers have something called latency which delays stuff, and MIDI takes a split second to send its signals between machines.

Put a blank 4 bar sequence at the beginning of your song, on the mpc. This blank 4 bars gives Cubase and the MPC time to sync up, so that by the time the beat drops at the end of the blank 4 bars, everything is locked in together.

Try it.
