MPC 2000XL + S950 or S900 = MPC 60/3000?
sorry for posting another MPC comparison question....
but i was wondering if the 2000XL combined with the 12 bit processing power of the S950 or S900 samplers would be comparable (oreven more desirable) than a MPC 60 (w/ OS 3.01) or MPC 3000?
i want to know because i'm into the old sound "early to late 90's" hiphop and wanted a sampler/setup that will suit my needs. i'm trying to make a decision between the 2000XL and 3000 (but if i can spend less on the 2000XL and be able to acheive the dirty 12 bit crunch just by buying an S900/S950 at a later point, i would rather do that)
theoretically, would this 2000XL setup have the same sound characteristics/output as the MPC 60/3000? or would the different swings of the 60 and 3000 have a huge impact and consequently make them the better setups? thanks
