sound card another problem REALLY UGENT!!!

sup guys im about to flip out on everyone right now....
i dont know why when i try to sample somethin off my computer it aint workin
i tried hookin up a cd palyer to my mpc to record somethin and it works...
is my soundcard burnt or somethin?
-all my connections are well done( from computer out to mpc in)
when i check the volume control... everythin is fine... computer is responding to the sounds (drums on my computer) when it comes to sampliong those drums on my mpc it suddenly aint workin no more... everythi was fine up till now and all of a sudden nothins workin no more
anyways guys plz answer back soon its really urgent im flippin out
