Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

I PLUGGED MY KEYBOARD IN MY MPC THROUGH MIDI(OUT AND IN) AND I WAS PLAYING THE KEYBOARD BY HITTING THE DRUM PADS ON MY MPC, MY QUESTION IS, CAN I SOMEHOW SAVE THE SOUNDS? HOW DO I TURN THE SOUNDS INTO AUDIO? CAN I EVEN DO THAT? JUST WONDERING, I'LL TAKE ALL THE FEEDBACK I CAN GET THANKS!!

You could take the audio out of your keyboard and stick it into the Audio ins of your Akai. But you'll probably want to get a dual stereo adaptor for your 1/4 line to be able to sample in stereo. If not you'll only be able to do it in mono. But this is all theory. I have yet to try it yet. But I should cause I got a supa sweet SH-101. :lol: Cheers.

You cant sample and play sounds from the pads - not at the same time. Best bet is to record your sounds into an audio recorder like a multitracker, minidisk, PC etc. You can resample these recordings if you feel the need.

BTW - is your caps lock stuck? :wink:
