Jazz drives

Can I use an external SCSI Jazz drive (2GB) with the MPC2KXL? Anyone ever tried this, or is it better to just get the iomega SCSI 100/250 zip?

be careful because the mpc doesnt handle partitions bigger than 500mb very well, and when you partition be careful if you put that disk in windows because apparently( never tried it but) windows will delete ALL the partitions and their files after the first one....so partition small and dont use windows(unless its been fixed, check it out).

also ive always said if you got 20 100mb disks, one of them may die, but if one 2Gb disk dies, thats everything in one hit....but....then again..you can back that up on one disk instead of twenty..

i had a jaz hooked up to mine, but it stopped working i changed cables and it still didn't work so i assume it's the drive....install an internal 250mb zip drive

I would install an internal, but I want to keep the floppy option. I am building a library of sounds and they are mostly on floppies right now.

I keep my libraries on CD/CDRW..

I backup often..

your cdrw is scsi ? or do you backup to your zip then transfer to a pc and copy to cdrw
