I cannot find the ATAPI device!!!

Hi guys, I have installed a CF drive in my MPC2000XL, and i upgrade the OS to the version 1.2 but I cannot find the ATAPI device: when i press the "Load key" or "save Key"

MPC only recognizes Floppy, SCSI (7) and Flash Rom.

What must I do??? How do I install the CF drive???

am going throung the same problem myself, istalled a scsi flash card reader in my mpc & it keeps coming up with scsi not ready!

kinda puts ur productivity with the mpc 2 a grinding halt

i read in some of the other threads bout installing a flash card reader that sometimes you need 2 update the firmware on the reader, im about 2 try that myself but it involves putting a scsi slot in my computer, taking the cf drive outta my mpc, hooking it up 2 the computer, trying 2 install the firmware, then putting it back in my mpc..... wot a fukaround!!

would be interested 2 hear any other things ppl have done 2 fix problems installing the flash card reader

Make sure the jumpers on the reader are in slave mode.

After you turn on you're MPC go into the Load Screen and you have it on where youcan choose Devices turn you're the dial to you're left and it should be right there.

everything i have read in other threads on the subject day that the fc reader has to be set to master?

I should have just said make sure the jumpers are in the correct place. Sorry!

single or master depending on the brand of cf drive.
