Transferring wavs from computer to MPC

Hey, if you have a compact Flash reader on your MPC 2000XL and have a compact flash card with a PC adapter, Can you just save drum wav sounds on the compact flash from the computer and just transfer them to the MPC that way. I know if you have a cd reader hooked up to your MPC, it will read those wavs, but I'm wondering if it will read wavs straight from a compact flash. If this isn't possible on a 2XL, is it possible on a 1000?

Not exactly sure what ur asking.. but i have the Mpc2000 XL-MCD and it reads compact flash.. i do transfer wavs from the pc to a card reader and then take the flash out.. pop it into the mpc and it works like a charm.. thats all i can attest to though as i'm not sure if that is exactly the set up ur inquiring about.
