I LOVE THE XL!!!!

If you don't own an XL and love it... don't post, this thread is not for you.

I have always owned 2000 classics, but the XL is straight dope. I get my beats done in half the time with no lock ups. Who else loves their XL?

Seriously, this thing is 2X the machine the 2K is. I don't know about the 3K because I have never owned one, but if it better than this... keep that shit.

the XL gets another thumbs up from me! I've tried em all.. I'm real comfortable and happy with what I got.

I got rid of my 1000 about a month ago and got a 2000xl se1 yesterday evening. I got to say that I love the feel of it. One question though! is it normal that when you go to trim it takes a couple of seconds to draw the sample on the screen?

I've been using samplers and keyboards/sound modules for over 10 years. I bought my 2000xl in September of 2005 and haven't touched anything else I own since. It's nice to compose music in the living room, kitchen, outside or where ever you have got a power outlet. Basically anywhere but in front of a computer. Don't get me wrong, I think music and computers are perfect together, but after so many years of writing in the same place, it's nice to be able to get a change of scenery. It's not just the new found portablitly though that makes me horny about the 2000xl. The sample engine and sequencer are super good. Samples are gritty and raw and I don't think there is a better hardware sequencer out there. Despite a few missing sampler features, I think the 2000xl would be the only piece of music gear I could get by with alone. Till death us do part...

hope they get all the bugs and another os up date to add auto chromatic to the 2500 cause it looks super nice too except for a few glaring flaws...

love my 2kxl, got it for $100.00 from a friend who missinstalled the zip. got it home replugged the cable in and viola, MPC 2000XL SE3 for 100 bucks, (oh and it was hardley used)
sampled every sound out of my mp-7 and triton, then got rid of em.. love my mpc love my mpc love my mpc!!!! (sometimes i take it out of my studio and put it in bed an make beats till i fall asleep)

Thumbs up from me. Before I had the classic 2000 and was a snob to the XL cause I thought Akai just made it to make more money change the pads around, the screen and whatever.....now.....I love the damn thang!!!!

Let's just say that my girl refers to my MPC2000XL-MCD as "that other b*tch!!!"

The XL is tha shyt! Ive been using mine as a "standalone" lately. Way more fun like that

yeah i bought my xl in 1999 about 2 months after it came out and loved it to death.i called it "my other girlfriend" the whole time i had it.sadly i kept running out of ram time due to the fact that i due all sampling/sequencing on my mpc so i upgraded to the 4000 plus.i sold the xl so i would have enough money to buy the 4000.i still miss it to this day.(but love my 4000 as well)

so yeah,the xl will always be like "the one that got away" for me.

I can't say that i love mine yet.. But i got some love for her..
