booting from scsi.

hey i have a MPC2000 not XL , the ide port for my floppy drive has came away from the cable. and it is not just a simple plug in 1 seem to be some premade shits. is there any way i can boot my MPC from my scsi Zip drive or anyway i can fix this problem with out having to run up a big bill in repair shop for a little problem..... i notised the other ide slot but when i hook up a floppy to it nothing works. flashing lights./.. any 1 know how to fit this problem??

yes you should be able to.....if theres nothing in the floppy drive it will read the scsi port.....you should be able to load your os from a zip disk..

nothing happendes at all. i have the OS and doot disk saved to my zip. i know u can do it on the XL but i dunno about the 2000.
or is there a difernt type of doot disk for it?

well what type of file is saved on the disk?...is it a zip file or the .sys and .exe file....
