Record midi in, play back out, MPC2000?

I know you can do this but I'm gettin some fuss. Trying to record my keys onto the MPC (well i mean just the midi duh) onto a sequence and then have the MPC play that back. I know this is some square one stuff but help a homie out!

You have to change the program from drum to midi.
