Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

Hey.,..im new to this site...i was just wondering...is it possible to use a sequencer like cakewalk...to sequence my MPC?....i use alot of rewire....so i just wanna run My MPC in there...and jus midi it in...is this possible?...im out..1

Yes thats possible. Two ways that I know how to do it are to run the mpc as a slave device where you will program your sequences and save them on the mpc and just connect a midi out of the computer to the in on the mpc and have it follow cakewalks metronome. The other way is to just use the mpc as a module, just trigger the samples from inside cakewalk and arrange the notes in the cakewalk midi view, this way I don't think you could use the 16 level functions though so it is limiting.

OK...sweet..the jerk at sam ash said i couldnt becuz its reading audio from the MPC not midi.lol...anyways....thanx man....do i have to do smthin to the MPC??..if i want to do it the second way u suggested?...( io kow in Keyboard u turn the local off...does this apply in the MPC?)

All i'm gonna say is to experiment and try it out for yourself first, ask questions later if you have to, or just read the manual. By learnin how to use the mpc yourself you might stumble on to something else that you didn't know that might end up useful.
