sounds in 2k XL

Hiya. I am using the MPC I have sampled a break from "the meters", snare sounds nice open hi hat sounds great but the bass drum does not sound too good, when I record a basic drum loop with all the above parts the bass drum sounds staggered, almost like I have a gating effect on it.

Would you know how to get this sorted?
