how do u guys make your songs in the 2k xl

would you create a 2bar sequence and call it intro, and the rest of sequences and call them verse1 chourus, verse2 chorus etc, i tend just to make a 4 bar sequence and loop it, then in the mixing stage, i punch in the chourus line until i feel its long enough, then mute it out again, then punch in a phrase, for x amount of bars, i work strictly off of vibes and feelings, you know mute the drums and let the piano run a couple of bars, then bring in the hi hat then cut the bass, have the mc spit a couple of bars, so what he is saying is emphasized, thn bring in all the shit again, freestyle seeeeeeeeeeeen. but now i am faced with musically sound mc's, that talk in bars and measures, and count, and say shit like that sample is two semitones too highhhhhhhhhhhhhh, ok its all good, but i aint know shit bout music, and now , i have requests for my music to be made in song mode, with intro, and the likes, man this is just cutting my vibe, some one pleeze help, i feel like i am toooooooo old school, and not with it, that is what i have been told

You customize how many bars you want but that is what I tell my beginner friends to sart out with until they are comfortable with it.

The semitones being to high or too low is up to the producer not the rapper IMO. But it could possibly kill his vibe when trying to rap to it though.

It would be easier on everyone if they just speak in bars cause that's the easiest way to get across to producers the amount of music you need for a particular part.. That's my little 2 cents..

each one is done on its own sequence if i am not mistaken

I approach it the same way. I usually make all of my sequences 4 bars (especially if it's Hip Hop). Then in song mode, I set the reps for 4 to give me a 16 bar verse and 2 to give me a 8 bar chorus and also 1 to give me a 4 bar intro. I label my sequences "XYZ ntro", "XYZ verse". "XYZ chorus", etc. Then I convert it to song and name it "XYZ song". I save all of the sequences not just the completed song.
