MPC 2000 as Sequencer/ Drum machine

I've got the MPC 2K & ASR 10, I heard that you can use the MPC as a master sequencer to control the ASR-10 and reason 3.0 software too? I am new to the mpc..already familiar w/ the ASR & Reason .. I hear such good things about the mp and so I would like to incorporate it into my setup and use it to its full potential.

BTW - i've got the scsi port hooked up in back but no external drive for storage, any ideas on the best drive to get and how to format it for the MPC?? Is Iomega okay? Please advise

connect the mpc to your asr using MIDI

a zip drive will work with that SCSI port on the back. they're good to start out with i think
