Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

Does anyone know any tricks to turn down or EQ unwanted instruments out of a sample. Example: I sampled a horn section yesterday and I dodn't like the drum part that was behind it. Could I have eq'd that stuff out of at least brought it down to a level that's not noticable.. I'm using a classic MPC2000. I do all of my chopping right on the MPC.

Why don't you eq on your dj mixer (if your sampling from vinyl that is) b4 sampling?

On the MPC you can turn down the high end
You should just get an external eq check your local thrift shops and pawn shops
