Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000
By en2 Thu Oct 02, 2003 10:56 am
Aight this is the continuing chapter of my zip drive drama.....my scsi fuse blown in the states so I put in an internal zip in the mpc. It worked fine and loaded fine. Now I am in Spain and the zip has been able to load my zips, but then as soon as I attempt to save what I had just loaded/worked on.....The mpc says ¨drive read error.¨ The same thing comes up when I try to load up these zips and dont know what to do....my zip fuse is blown, my internal zip is giving me this message and I AM in another country. The MPC itself works fine, but frankly i cant do anything without loading and saving....duhhh

PLEase help as I need to get started on some projects, I am in barcelona if any of u cats are in the area.....or if you have any places that you might recommend be some help to me that would be great.

thanks for the help,

Or you can try downloading and reloading your OS before you go possibly spending any big money on other fixes.

wassup hombres...

finally got my mpc back the other day after going to microfusa and getting service from akai so its all gravy and my internal zip is working now for some reason- dont know why but it does and thats all that matters....hey if you any of you people are in the barcelona area and you want to colloborate or share skills, etc. hit me up on the email and we´ll chill and smoke one

i got another installment sadly....was working on the mpc after gettin my shit check out today and the same thing...i was trying to save something and then the mpc spat out on the screen ¨disk read error¨ - i got no idea why this is happening and how i can prevent it! are the songs on this disk erased or is it strictly a hardware problem and shouldnt mess with the disks?.....i think im going to throw down and get a scsi hard drive- this siht is so frustrating.
