MPC Midi question

Simple question about playing with midi keyboard..

When I take a sample and use "16 levels" to get different notes to pads, is it possible to play them with midi keyboard? When I do that and play w/ keyboard it still plays all the samples, not the one I spread across the pads..

Just trying to play a bassline with a sample and a keyboard..

the mpc will not spread the sample across the keys for you. you need a sampler that is capable of doing that.

Akai S series samplers, for example, are able to do that.

you can even use some software samplers to achieve that
