Generally, you can't transmit sounds down a midi cable (except for Midi sample dump but forget that). Midi only contains the instructions for triggering other Midi gear. Think of midi like sheet music. It contains all the information for playing but you need something to generate the actual sound.
You can sync acid to the MPC or the opposite way around if you want to play the both in time together. If you want acid to be the sync master connect your Midi out from the Acid PC to the Midi In on the MPC and transmit MIDI Beat clock from Acid (it's in the options somewhere) and set the MPC to receive Midi Beat Clock in the MPC sync options. When you press play on Acid the MPC should start playing in sync .
To get the actual sound from Acid to the MPC you'll either have to connect your computers output to the sampler input on the MPC and sample it or export the sound as a wave file from acid onto a floppy, zip or memory card. And then load it up from disk on the MPC.
