No Floppy Device Problem

Here's my issue, I have installed a Iomega 100MB zip drive to my MPC. The problem is that it reads no floppy device when I try to load or run the drive. I'm wondering if the problem would be solved if I tried to boot the new OS system that supposedly relieves this problem. And if so can I boot up the new OS system with a CD-ROM via SCSI. Guess the basic question is can I boot up the new OS system if I burn it onto a CD and load it up through a CD-ROM on the MPC. Any answers please reply, thanx.

yo i was having the same problem a week a go. are your jumpers set up to have the zip as master? are you getting power i.e does the drive take an eject disks properly. did the drive work before? is your ide cable fully connected? check for my post 'new internal zip =no floppy device' its in this section. good luck.
