gettin a insert mpc disk every time i turn it on, so im guessin my disk has gone. should the download of the of the mpc 2000xl 1.14 os on a new floppy disk just boot my mpc 2000 classic up fine?

You need the mpc 2000 os. See below. Unzip the file then put it on a fresh floppy disk and u should be good to go.

The product is discontinued while the XL isstill being made except its a newer version XL. But its still an XL.
