8 outs for the 2000XL back-ordered for up to one year!!!!!

I tried to order the 8 outs expansion board from VST and I was told that Akai is back ordered for at least 8 months! I finally found one place that had it but most places that I called are sold out and are unaware that the item is on back order. If you need to get the 8 outs get on it quick!

You come out better just buying them new. I got mines for 185 brand new in the box. Never opened. You can get them on ebay occassionally.

Majority of the time you can find them used on Ebay for a decent price.

I don't trust ebay though, I never will.

It's my next buy, stereo outs isn't doing it for me any more. Only ever seem to see em inside MPCs or the Mutec on Ebay in the UK though. The official one turns up occasionally, but it's usually well overpriced There are a couple of places you can get new ones here, but I don't wanna spend new prices.

Lampdog, been using Ebay for years. One problem. Each to their own though. I can see why you wouldn't trust it.

Cool. Shame they are in the US though. Gotta keep looking. I held out and saved a lot of money on my EB16.

The mutec 8 out work fine for me.

The 2000xl is no longer in production. I woundn't doubt if the Akai 8 out expansion is also no longer in production.

Yeah, looked at the mutecs (one on ebay at the moment). Would rather go Akai. don't ask me why.

whats the deal with the mutec? is it just a 3rd part board?... do you know if you can get it with the proper mounting plate and ribbon cable? (the one shown looks like an s series 8 out)
