Assigning Chopped Sample To Pads But...

It's not coming out chopped but it's playing on my pads but every pad I hit the sample gets slower.. what exactly am I doing wrong? I chopped it up in the zones, sliced the sound, I put the end margin to 0 (is that my problem?) and new prgrm YES.

I had some trouble figuring out how to assign it to the pad after it's chopped.

Walk me through the steps on HOW you chopped and assigned it to pads, don't forget a step/button/menu.

Ok, I zoned each part I wanted in the zones. I hit:

Edit to go to Slice Sound:

End Margin: 0
Create Pgrm: Yes

Then, I went to Shift+Program:

Selected Drum 2

It shows my sample at the top where it says Pgrm:

It shows Pad: B01 (which is the pad I clicked, but I want them on other pads of course in the B Bank.)

It says, Note 54=Snd (and my sample)

The Pad assign is on Master but I've switched it back and forth from Master & Program

Then I hit Auto, because I wasn't sure how to get them on the pads. They are on the pads, but not chopped up. It plays the whole sample but each pad plays if faster or slower.

JUST as I thought, you hit AUTO for autochromatic. lol.
ZONE - will get you 16 chops ONLY 16 for a pad bank AND it creates a new program. 2kxl manual pg 108.

AUTO (autochromatic) will get you 64 full sample playback spread JUST like a keyboard across 64 pads, it is not for spreading slice shops across 64 pads. It will spread the WHOLE sample across 64 pads it will also create a new program. 2kxl manual pg 117.

slice and auto are 2 different functions and you crossed the line when you hit "auto".

My advice, chop your sample into 4 equal parts.

Afterwards use the chop function to chop the first 16 for pad bank a
"select yes to make a new program"

Afterwards use the chop function to chop the second 16 for pad bank b
don't select yes.

Afterwards use the chop function to chop the third 16 for pad bank c
don't select yes.

Afterwards use the chop function to chop the fourth 16 for pad bank d
don't select yes.

MANUALLY assign the last 48 chopped samples to pad banks b,c,d on that same program that you created for the first 16 chops.

This way you'll get 64 chops in one program and you NEVER need to confuse it with the AUTO function.

I just wanted it to be chopped into like 8 parts.. I have to do that to get the 8 sounds on 8 pads for bank B?

Ok, the sound is fine and I was able to get the sample on any pad I wanted to. That's no problem. My main problem I guess now is that I broke up the zones where I wanted each one sliced, but how do I save what I did in the trim screen?

It just has my original sample, even though I broke it up into zones and edit, slice sound, create pgrm YES. I assigned it to bank B, and it plays in the bank but not the chopped sample.

I don't found how to use the auto(chromatic) function with the others programs in the same time? It's not explain in the manuel , and I search for this.
Please

autochromatic will create a new program each time... just selct the program in one of the drum parts.
